Situated at the mouth of the Great Fish River, Fort D' Acre Reserve is surrounded by 1200 hectares of wildlife reserve. The lodge has private access to a secluded beach. The rooms at the lodge come with en-suite bathrooms, free WiFi, satellite TV and panoramic views over the reserve and sea. The suite has a private balcony. A full English breakfast with a fresh fruit buffet is served daily, either in the elegant dining room or on the veranda overlooking the gardens and outdoor pool. The lounge has a fireplace and there is a BBQ area adjacent to a thatched pub for evenings around the camp fire, and a beach lapa with deck overlooking the sea. The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering and light meals can be served on request. Activities such as canoeing and horse-riding are nearby and can be arranged for guests. Fort D' Acre Reserve is just across the river from the Fish River Sun Golf Course and only 25 km away from Port Alfred, which has a variety of restaurants and shops.
