Offering a tea lounge, karaoke, a hot-spring bath and a unique tuna-head grilling event, Katsuura Kanko Hotel is a 7-minute walk from JR Kii-Tenma Train Station. The traditionally-styled Japanese rooms have views of Nachi Bay and the Kumano mountains. Rooms include a seating area with a low table and floor cushions, and at night futon bedding is placed on the tatami (woven-straw) floor. Each air-conditioned room has a TV, an electric kettle and a fridge. There is an en suite toilet, and guests bathe at the shared hot-spring bath. The hotel is about a 20-minute drive from both Nachi Waterfall and Kumano Nachi Taisha shrine. Parking is free and bicycles can be rented. A set menu of Japanese cuisine is served for breakfast and dinner. Depending on the number of guests at the hotel, meals are served either at Kamado-bo-san dining room or in guests’ rooms.
