Located 10 minutes from Izukyu Shimoda Train Station on the free shuttle, Toutei has Japanese rooms with views of the Irita-Hama Sea, traditional in-room Kaiseki dinners and indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths. Free Wi-Fi is provided at the lobby lounge. Wide windows offer gorgeous coastline views in the air-conditioned rooms at Toutei Ryokan. Featuring a traditional Japanese decor, rooms include an LCD TV and a private bathroom. Guests sleep on the tatami (woven-straw) floor in Japanese-style futon bedding. The ryokan is 3.5 km from Shimoda Kaichu Suizokukan Aquarium and about 4 km from the departure pier for Izu cruises. On-site parking is free. To use the free shuttle from Izukyu Shimoda Train Station, a reservation must be made at least 1 day in advance. Dinner starts at 18:00 or 18:30, and breakfast starts at 08:00 or 08:30. Guests choose their preferred times at check-in. Both meals feature a set menu of regional specialities.
