The air-conditioned Japanese rooms have an LCD TV and a private bathroom. Decorated in Japan’s famous minimalist style, each room at Palace Hotel Ito has Shoji paper screens, wall hangings and a low table with floor cushions. Slippers, Yukata robes, and an electric kettle with green tea are provided. Guests sleep on a tatami (woven-straw) floor in Japanese-style futon bedding. The hotel is a 7-minute walk from Shogetsuin Temple and a 9-minute walk from the Mokutaro Kinoshita Memorial House. Parking is free. Both indoor and open-air hot-spring baths are available, and a gift shop is on site. There is a free-use internet PC located behind the front desk. A set Japanese breakfast and dinner are served. Dinner is a multi-course Kaiseki meal featuring local specialities made with fresh seasonal ingredients.
