Surrounded by palm trees and a tropical garden, the completely non-smoking Pension Iriomote is a 3-minute walk from Todomari Beach and provides free Wi-Fi throughout. Snorkelling, canoeing, windsurfing and other marine activities are on offer. Parking is free. Decorated in a pleasant tropical style with wood floors and bright colours, rooms at the inn include air conditioning, a CD player and garden views. Some have a private bathroom. A 3-minute walk to Iriomote Eco-tourism Centre and LB Kayak Station, the property is a 15-minute drive from the Uehara and Oohara ferry ports. From Ishigaki Airport, Iriomote Pension is about 80 minutes away via car and ferry. Free pick-up from the ferry ports is available if guests call before boarding the ferry. This cosy 5-room inn is headed by a “specialist” of Iriomote Island who enjoys giving tours and helping guests with scuba diving and other water activities. Bicycles can be rented, and there is a free-use internet PC. A Western breakfast is served at the dining room. Dinner can also be eaten if ordered by 15:00 the same day (extra charges apply).
