It is a 10-minute drive from Jigokudani Monkey Park. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Rooms are fitted with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and traditional futon bedding, and feature a TV, a low table and free green tea. The en suite bathroom comes with a bath tub and toiletries. Guests at Yamatoya can relax in the hot spring baths, or soak their feet in a foot bath near the entrance. Free luggage and ski storage services are offered. There are 9 communal hot spring baths around the property, which guests can enjoy for free. Maruike and Hasuike Ski Resorts are a 30-minute drive away. Delicately prepared Japanese dishes are offered for dinner in either at the dining room or at the guest room. Breakfast is also served.

To use the hotel's free shuttle from Yudanaka Train Station, please make a reservation at time of booking. Guests are also requested to inform the arrival time at the station. Shuttle service is available between 15:00 and 21:00.
