Only a minute's walk from the Pine Beak Ski Resort, Lodge Garando offers basic Japanese-style and Western rooms with nature views, free Wi-Fi and a free shuttle from the nearest bus stop. The lounge features free coffee and tea. Japanese-style rooms come with traditional futon bedding on a tatami (woven mat) floor, while Western rooms have carpeting and beds. All rooms offer mountain views. Bathroom facilities are shared, and meant to be used privately. A breakfast and dinner with Japanese and Western elements are served at the lounge. At the music studios, guitars and drums can be played at a charge. To get to Garando Lodge, it takes a 50-minute bus ride from JR Ueda Station to Yubin-kyoku-mae bus stop, and a 1-minute ride with the hotel's shuttle from there.
