The rustic Colomode Guest House lies in the woods only a 5-minute drive from the Kurumayama Kogen bus stop. It features a garden and a games room, and it offers free Wi-Fi in the lobby. Ski lessons are available. The simple rooms at Guest House Colomode offer views of the woods, and they come with heating, twin beds and an LCD TV. Some rooms have an en suite bathroom. The non-smoking Pension offers rental skiing equipment, while ski storage is also available. A free shuttle is provided on request, from the Kurumayama Kogen bus stop. Colomode serves a Western breakfast, and for dinner it offers a set course of Western dishes and a wide range of wines. Meals are served in the cosy dining room, which is heated with firewood in an old-fashioned stove. Colomode Guest House is approximately a 1-hour drive from the Suwa Takashima Castle, and a 1 hour and 15 minute drive from the Suwa Taisha Grand Shrine, one of the oldest shrines in existence.
