Located in the heart of popular Sanjo area and just a 3-minute walk from Sanjo Train Station and Sanjo-Keihan Subway Station, Masuya Ryokan offers chic accommodation with spacious Japanese-style guest rooms and pretty gardens. It features a large public bath and in-room massages. Decorated with a seasonal flower arrangement, every room is fitted with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and a seating area beside large windows. A flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a low table and green tea are provided. Some rooms come with an en suite bathroom. Ryokan Masuya offers free luggage storage and safety deposit box. Guests can request relaxing massages at an extra charge, or use on-site drink vending machines. Small pets can be accommodated with advance request. It is a 15-minute drive or taxi ride from JR Kyoto Station. Famous Kiyomizu Temple and Nijo-jo Castle are both within a 10-minute drive, while Gion area is a 12-minute walk away. Delicately prepared seasonal Kaiseki multi-course dinner is served in the room, with a Nakai (personal attendant) service. Dinner needs to be reserved at time of booking. Japanese set-meal breakfast is also offered.
