Traditional in-room meals made with fresh locally sourced ingredients are featured at Takinosou, which has an indoor hot-spring bath and provides Japanese-style rooms. It is a 40-minute drive from JR Kanazawa Train Station and offers a free shuttle. Guests at Takinosou Inn sleep on a tatami (woven-straw) floor in Japanese futon bedding. Bathrooms and toilets are shared. Each room is air-conditioned and comes with an LCD TV, a mini-fridge and a low table with floor cushions. Kenroku-en Garden and Oyama Shrine are both a 20-minute drive away. Free parking is provided. A reservation must be made at time of booking to use the free shuttle from JR Kanazawa Train Station. A set menu is served for breakfast and dinner. Fish are caught in a nearby river, and vegetables are harvested from the nearby mountains.
