With private reservable hot-spring baths, Shima Onsen Hinatamikan is set 10 minutes’ walk from Kokura Waterfall. Yukata robes and green tea are provided in all rooms, and some have waterfall views. Featuring a Japanese-style seating area with tatami floor, the air-conditioned rooms have Western-style bedding. All include a TV, fridge and kettle. Breakfast and a multi-course kaiseki dinner are on offer daily in the modern dining room with parquet floor. They can also be served to the room. Hinatami Yakushido hot springs are 5 minutes’ walk away, while Nakanojo Station is 40 minutes by bus. A free shuttle is available and there is free parking on site.
