Located in Kusatsu hot-spring area, Hotel New Shichisei offers Japanese-style accommodations and a public hot-spring bath. Free Wi-Fi is available at the public areas. JR Gunmaotsu Train Station is a 20-minute drive and Kusatsu International Ski Resort is a 5-minute drive away. The air-conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. Each comes with a flat-screen TV, a safety deposit box and an en suite bathroom. Japanese Yukata robes and slippers are provided for all guests. Local souvenirs can be purchased at the gift shop and ski storage is provided. Traditional Shogi and Igo board games can be borrowed at the front desk. A Japanese-style set menu is served for breakfast and dinner. Shichisei New Hotel is a 2-hour drive from Zenko-ji Temple and a 25-minute drive from Mount Shirane. A tour can be requested for both destinations, if reserved in advance.
