Featuring natural hot spring baths and a sauna, Sarugakyo Hotel offers relaxation only a short stroll from the scenic Lake Akaya. It offers Japanese-style rooms, massage services and karaoke facilities. A free shuttle is available from Joetsu Gokan Station and Jomo-Kogen Station. Rooms feature lake or mountain views, a tatami (woven straw) living area, an LCD TV and a mini-fridge. Sarugakyo offers rooms with twin beds and wooden flooring, and rooms with Japanese-style futon beds. All rooms have an en suite bathroom, and complimentary green tea is provided. During the summer season, guests can take a swim in the outdoor pool. They can slowly unwind in an indoor or outdoor public hot spring, or rent one for private use. The hotel further offers billiards and table tennis, and massages are available. Hotel Sarugakyo serves a Japanese or Western breakfast, and for dinner it offers Japanese seasonal dishes. A range of drinks and some snacks can be enjoyed at the bar. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the Sarugakyo Museum.
