A 2-minute walk from Awara Onsen Station on the Echizen Train Line, it offers free Wi-Fi at the lobby and free on-site parking. Simply decorated in a zen style, Komewa Inn’s Japanese-style rooms are air-conditioned and include a mini-fridge, green tea, a satellite TV, slippers and an en suite bathroom. Guests sleep on the tatami (woven-straw) floor in Japanese futon bedding. The Awara Onsen hot spring area is just a 4-minute walk away, while Maruoka Castle is a 30-minute drive. The inn is an 8-minute drive from JR Awara Onsen Train Station and a 60-minute drive from Katsuyama Ski Resort. Guests can unwind at the quiet library space, play a rousing game of ping-pong or check out the gift shop. Free-use bicycles offer a fun way to explore the area. The set-menu Japanese breakfast is served either at the dining room or in the privacy of guests’ rooms. Dinners are served in-room. Komewa also has a relaxing tea room.
