At the foot of Mount Sassongher in the heart of Corvara in Badia, 3-star Hotel Italia offers free bikes, a restaurant, swimming pool and 2 free saunas. Run by the same family since the 1930s, this hotel comprises mountain-view rooms. The Italia’s rooms have either simple South Tyrol décor and carpeted floors or light wood furniture and floors. Each features a flat-screen TV and a bathroom with shower and hairdryer. Some also include a balcony. Wi-Fi is free throughout. Served in the dining hall, breakfast is a buffet consisting in handmade cakes, jams, croissants accompanied by yoghurt and fruit. Savoury food is made to order. Traditional and international dishes can be sampled in the restaurant, which proposes a 5-course dinner with a salad buffet. Upon request, guests can relax in the free steam bath or sip a herbal tea while sitting on 1 of the hotel's sun loungers. Common areas include a garden and a terrace. Set 300 metres away, the Col Alto ski slopes can be reached either with a 5-minute walk or by a private ski bus stopping right outside. The hotel is right in front of a bus stop providing links to Brunico.
