It is furnished with delicate antique furniture which gives it a cosy touch. It is the perfect home for a lazy afternoon by the pool or a long siesta with a novel somewhere in the shade ... and once you re rested you can get up and go.It lies close to several historic Lucchesi stately homes. with their beautiful gardens. most of which are open to the public.Just 7km from the charming walled medieval city of Lucca. the property is well placed for the sandy beaches. fish restaurants and shops of Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi. whilst a slightly longer drive leads to the picturesque Gulf of the Poets - Portovenere and the fishing ports of the Cinque Terre. Just a short drive from Pisa airport. Florence. San Gimignano and Volterra are all within reach for day excursions. The helpful and discreet custodian lives in a separate apartment in the villa.
