Made entirely of tuff stone, Relais Masseria La Grande Quercia is a manor farm that was built in 1894. Set in the Puglia countryside, it offers an outdoor swimming pool and wellness centre. La Grande Quercia is 10 km south of Gioia del Colle and 30 minutes' drive from beaches near the Stornara Nature Reserve. Rooms have a classic design with wood-beamed ceilings and elegant furniture. Each one is air conditioned and features a TV, en suite bathroom and view of the garden. The breakfast buffet includes homemade cakes, croissants and local produce such as cold meats and cheese. The restaurant offers Puglia specialities. It is open to the public but offers discounts to guests. Don't forget to book your table in advance. The garden features plenty of benches, deckchairs and sun loungers. The pool is open from June until September. Wellness facilities on offer include a hot tub, steam room and massages. Free parking is provided and the nearest bus stop is 10 km away in Gioia del Colle for links to Bari and Taranto.
