Quietly located 13 km from Lake Mývatn, this family-run guest house offers views over Sandfell Mountain. On-site facilities include 2 hot tubs, a guest kitchen and communal TV lounge with free access to a shared computer. Set on a working farm, Guesthouse Stöng’s simply furnished rooms all have views over the scenic countryside. Each has a washbasin, desk and wardrobe. Bathroom facilities are shared. Breakfast and dinner are served in Stöng’s restaurant with bar, while lunch is available on request. Guests can also enjoy a furnished terrace and BBQ facilities on site, as well as free tea and coffee. Myvatn Nature Baths with its natural steam baths and bathing lagoon is 31 km from the guest house. Iceland’s Ring Road is 5 km away and Akureyri is about an hours’ drive away. Nature watching, hiking and fishing are other common area activities.
