This family-run guesthouse is just off Iceland’s Ring Road, 12 km from Akranes. It provides free Wi-Fi, a communal fully equipped kitchen and an outdoor hot tub with views of the surrounding nature. Each simply decorated Laxarbakki Guesthouse room includes a desk and access to shared, modern bathroom facilities. All have views toward the Laxá River. On-site facilities include a steam bath, TV lounge, as well as a restaurant with bar. During nice weather, guests can enjoy a shared, furnished terrace with a BBQ. Free private parking is also available at Laxarbakki. Central Reykjavík is a 45-minute drive from the guesthouse, while Leynir Golf Club is 10 minutes away by car.
