Set on a quiet farm 30 km west of Höfn, this old farmhouse offers traditional Icelandic food made from fresh, local produce. A domestic petting zoo is found on site. The property offers views of 3 glaciers, including Vatnajökull. The family-run Guesthouse Holmur's simple rooms have a light décor and shared bathroom facilities. Free Wi-Fi is offered during low season, as are communal kitchen facilities. A guest lounge with free tea/coffee is available year round. The nearby Fláajökull Glacier offers a stunning backdrop and is popular among hikers. Holmur Guesthouse is just 30 minutes’ drive from Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. The small restaurant and bar are housed in a renovated cowshed. Light meals, cake and coffee are offered during summer. Wintertime opening is on request.
