Situated in the middle of Ireland’s Lake District, the adult-only Glebe House offers free Wi-Fi and a terrace overlooking the gardens. Dating back to 1817, this Georgian property is ideal for exploring nearby historic sites. With garden views, the spacious rooms include tea and coffee making facilities and a hairdryer. Each offers an en suite bath or shower room with complimentary toiletries. Some feature a four-poster bed. In the mornings, Glebe House serves breakfast in the 19th century dining room, which is complete with antique furnishings. The menu includes full Irish breakfast, kippers on wholemeal soda bread, and oak-smoked salmon. Guests can enjoy afternoon tea in the drawing room, which boasts a log fire and a well stocked library. Trout fishing can be enjoyed in the nearby Loughs Ennell and Owel. Lough Derravaragh is just 20 minutes’ drive away. With free parking, Glebe House is just 23 km from the town of Mullingar.
