The 18th-century Royal Valentia provides bed and breakfast in a spectacular setting on Valentia Island, just off Ireland’s west coast. Around 1 hour and 20 minutes’ drive from Kerry Airport, Valentia offers regular boat trips to the Skellig Islands, home to colonies of thousands of sea-birds and circled by dolphins and whales.
