Situated on the Dingle Peninsula, the Dun Chaoin Youth Hostel holds the title for being the most westerly hostel in Europe. The hostel offers a self-catering kitchen and a dining room, overlooking the Blasket Islands. The Dun Chaoin features a comfortable common room and offers dormitory rooms with bunk beds and shared bathroom facilities. In the mornings, the hostel serves light continental breakfast. Packed lunches are available for groups, with prior request. The hostel is located in rural County Kerry, surrounded by mountains, such as Brandon Mountain, just 17 km away. The coastline is within a 5-minute drive and features rugged cliffs, including The Slea Head Cliffs, within 10 km of the property. Ideal for whale and dolphin watching, the area is also home to a huge population of seals. The small town of Dingle offers a seal sanctuary, just 15 minutes’ drive away. Further outdoor pursuits include golfing, hill walking, and cycling. The Dun Chaoin Youth Hostel offers free private parking.
