Set 2 km from Rääkkylä town centre, this B&B offers rooms with views of Lake Saimaa, just 20 metres away. Free Wi-Fi is provided, as well as a lakeside café with terrace. Each individually decorated room at Paksuniemen Majatalo has a wardrobe and ironing facilities. All have access to a shared bathroom in the hallway. BBQ equipment and 2 bookable saunas can be enjoyed, along with a library, art gallery and children’s playground. Bicycle and row boat rentals are also available at Paksuniemen. Every Friday, groceries can be purchased on site. A breakfast fitting guests' liking is provided daily, either in the restaurant or delivered to the room if pre-booked. Friday's are also karaoke nights and on Saturdays, live music is available. Staff arranges activities such as fishing, hiking and bird watching trips. Central Joensuu is a 50-minute drive away.
