Built in wood, the 3-star Shangrila Tibetan Family Inn sits among local Tibetan houses on Da Wa Road, just 5 minutes' walk from Sifang Street Square. The staff can speak both English and Chinese. Decorated with Tibetan fabrics and furnishings, all the heated rooms also come with a cable TV and tea bags. The en suite bathroom is equipped with a shower. Opened in March 2012, Shangrila Tibetan Family Inn is a 10-minute walk from Baiji Temple and a 10-minute drive from Shangrila Coach Station. It is a 10-minute drive from Degen Shangrila Airport. Pudacuo National Park is a 30-minute drive away. A daily buffet breakfast is provided by the inn. Yak meat hot pot, yak butter tea and barley wine can also be enjoyed at the 3rd floor terrace. Alternatively, there are many local dining options around the inn. Day trips and car rentals can be arranged at the tour desk. The inn also provides laundry and dry cleaning services. Besides free in-room wired internet, guests can also use the public computer in the lobby.
