Set amongst the vineyards of the Barossa Valley, this hostel offers bicycle hire with a secure lock, helmet and local map. Guests can try wine tastings at more than 30 cellar doors in the surrounding area. Facilities at Barossa Backpackers include a guest kitchen, BBQ area, dining room and coin-operated laundry. The shared lounge room has a TV, PlayStation 3 gaming console and DVD library. Guests have access to an internet kiosk and shared bathroom facilities. The gardens, lawn and verandah overlook the winery and vineyards. The tour desk can book day trips to the wineries and vineyards. Barossa Backpackers Hostel is located next to Chateau Tanunda, one of Australia’s oldest wineries. Guests can taste some of the Barossa's best wines, produced on site at this historic winery. Situated on the edge of Tanunda town centre, Barossa Backpackers offers free off-street parking. Adelaide is 1 hour’s drive away.
