Erzurum is the biggest city in the Eastern Anatolia, is situated on a high plateau with an altitude of 1950 m. In particular the remains of Byzantine and Seljuk Eras are of great significance being the excellent examples of aesthetic. Main historical monuments and museums in Erzurum are: Üç Kümbetler (Three Vaults), Erzurum Castle, and Erzurum Archeology Museum.
