This rustic mountain hut is located high above Lake Millstatt, which can be seen from the hut's south-facing terrace. The Jäger Hütte is accessible by car and from June to September you can get fresh cow's milk. Heat is provided by a wood-fired stove and there is no electricity, but solar lights. Barbecue facilities are available as well. Children can have fun in a separate play hut with a sand box and toys, next to the Jäger Hütte. Within a 20-minute walk you can reach the next mountain hut offering food and drinks. Obermillstatt is 7 km and Millstatt is 9 km away, as is the stop of the ski bus. The Goldeck Ski Resort is 30 km away and the Bad Kleinkirchheim Ski Resort can be reached by car in 45 minutes.
