It offers simple Japanese-style accommodation with air conditioning, traditional futon bedding and shared bathrooms. Guests at Hanamizuki Inn sleep on the tatami (woven-straw) floor in a room with Shoji paper screens, a low table and floor cushions. Toilets are shared, and green tea and an LCD TV are provided. The property is a 30-minute drive to Fuji-Q Highland amusement park and Kawaguchiko Interchange (IC), and a 35-minute drive from JR Gotenba Train Station. Mount Fuji’s 5th Station is about a 1-hour drive. Parking is free. Tennis courts are just a 2-minute walk away and can be rented on a full- or half-day basis. The area offers views of Mount Fuji. Hotel staff can speak only Japanese. Japanese meals can be enjoyed at the dining area for an extra fee, and must be reserved in advance. In warm weather, an outdoor barbecue is sometimes used for dinner.
