A 5-minute walk from JR Kagoshima-Chuo Train Station, Hotel Taisei Annex has a Japanese-style pub, a restaurant serving local dishes, massages and a Ganbanyoku stone spa. The simply furnished rooms include free wired internet access. Each air-conditioned room at the Taisei Annex comes with an LCD TV, a mini-fridge, green tea, slippers and toothbrushes. The en suite bathroom has a bathtub with shower attachment. Relaxation areas are separated by sex and require additional fees. Women are able to enjoy stone spa (free for the first 80 minutes, starting 01 April) and reflexology treatments, while men can use a 24-hour sauna, a hot public bath and a shared room with recliners and TVs. Massages are open to all guests. Ishin Furusato-kan Museum, specialising in the Meiji Restoration, is a 5-minute walk. Sakurajima volcano is a 45-minute ferry ride away. Laptops can be rented at the reception, and the lobby has a free-use internet PC. A coin launderette is on site. A breakfast buffet is available for an extra fee. Lunch and dinner can be eaten at Satsuma Kuroshiotei, and drinks and pub fare are on offer at Izakaya Aijichiba in the evenings.
