Located in the Hiraizumi World Heritage, Shizukatei offers Japanese-style accommodations and indoor/outdoor public hot-spring baths. Local delicacies can be enjoyed for dinner and a free parking is on-site. A free shuttle is available from JR Hiraizumi Train Station, which is a 25-minute drive away and must be reserved at time of booking. The air-conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. A TV and fridge are included in each and Japanese Yukata robes are provided for all guests. Each room comes with a private toilet, while bathrooms are shared with other guests. Shizukatei Ryokan is a 25-minute drive from Chuson-ji Temple and Motsu-ji Temple. JR Ichinoseki Train Station is a 40-minute drive away. Traditional multi-course dinners feature sushi, soba noodles and Maezawa beef dishes. A Japanese set-menu is offered for breakfast and all meals are served at the dining room. Local products are sold at the souvenir shop and drink vending machines are on site.
