Set inside Madonie Regional Park, Il Vecchio Frantoio is a Sicilian manor house with several oil presses that was built in the 1600s. It produces olive oil, meat and salami, which is served in the restaurant. Rooms have a rustic yet elegant design with wood-beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. Every room features a TV, fridge and private bathroom. They offer views of the garden and surrounding mountains. A continental breakfast is served each morning, while the restaurant serves Sicilian specialities with gluten-free and vegetarian options on offer. There is also a comfortable lounge with a cosy fireplace. Il Vecchio Frantoio is just outside the town of Scillato and offers lots of bird-watching opportunities. You are surrounded by nature and just a few km away you can find the Abies Nebrodendis fir trees, of which there are only 24 left in the world. Free parking is provided and the seaside is just 20 minutes' drive away. Palermo is under an hour away by car. Free bikes are available to rent.
