This distinctive holiday house Scala dei Turchi is at about 200 m from the beautiful Sicilian coast. Formerly a railway keepers lodge, it has recently been restored in modern style. The property is across two floors and boasts a mansard roof. It is very comfortable and has been furnished in a cosy, rural style, with a mini-bar in each bedroom. The colour-scheme is warm and Mediterranean-looking. There is a private garden for guest use, the property being surrounded by 2000 m of land. Only 200 meters away is a unique rock formation known as the "Scala dei Turchi" (Turkish steps), leading down to the sea. The local area abounds with culture and folklore. There is the Sagra del Mandorlo (Almond Tree Festival) in Fiore nella Valle dei Templi, festivities in honour of Saint Calogero, the feast day of Madonna del Carmine and many more events besides. Porto Empedocle is 4 km away and Agrigento, 7 km away. In the town of Sciacca there are countless opportunities to enjoy oneself and learn about local culture.
