A traditional timber building amid the woods and lakes around Hartola, Helenan Mökit is a spacious villa with its own sauna and a boat for rowing on the neighbouring pond. Trout fishing is popular in the river Tainionvirta, and there are many cross-country ski trails in the area. Helenan Mökit has a downstairs lounge with a TV and wood-burning stove, and upstairs there is an open-plan dining area and kitchen. Both floors have a covered balcony and the villa is equipped for barbeques. Hartola town is within 15 minutes’ drive and has a selection of restaurants and shops, as well as Hartola’s 18-hole golf course. The woods surrounding the property are popular for picking berries and mushrooms, and the villa is just 4.6 km from horse riding stables in Unettu. The town of Lahti is an hour’s drive from Helenan Mökit, while the cottage is approximately 4 km from the main E75 motorway.
