Situated by Lake Velllijärvi, this traditional log cottage includes a fully equipped kitchen, a seating area with TV and a sauna. Guests have free access to a rowing boat and BBQ equipment. Built in the 1930s, the Alassalmen Erämökit cottage has a shower, washing machine and outhouse toilet. Kitchen facilities include kitchenware, a microwave and a dining area. During colder months, the wood-burning stove provides extra warmth. The cottage has a private beach, and hiking, cross-country ski and snow mobile trails are found nearby. Staff can help arrange fishing permits and rental of fishing equipment. Guests can buy groceries and other necessities in Pyhäkylä, 18 km from Alassalmen Erämökit. Suomussalmi is 40 minutes’ drive from the cottage, while Kuusamo is 86 km away.
